Situation is getting grim
There's nothing keeping us above the rim
But the woodlice
This house is falling apart
The milk has gone a funny shade of green
We get the money so that we can be seen
At the Union
This house is falling apart
Oooh, oooh, oooh, we'll deal with it later
We're using your textbooks as lavatory paper
Get out the house, you know
We haven't got a minute to lose
I've got a nine o'clock, it's a quarter to
three
I've fallen in love with all the daytime TV
And it's raining
This house is falling apart
I've had a drink or two, ok, I've had ten
We'll do the washing but we don't know when
So we're naked
This house is falling apart
Oooh, oooh, oooh, we'll deal with it later
We're down to our last teabag and half a potato
There goes the neighbourhood
We're fucked if we know what to do
Oooh, oooh, oooh, we'll deal with it later
She's barking out the orders like a German dictator
I know she looks a dog
But we have got nothing to lose
Oooh Oooh Oooh, we'll deal with it later,
The telly's broke gain my dear, so hand me a stapler
There goes the neighbourhood
We're only trying to get an excuse
Oooh, oooh, oooh, we'll get it on later
We're off down the nightclub, girl do me a favour
We can't be bothered, can't be arsed to get out of bed
Get out of bed (x2)
ABOUT THE SONG...
Another great song, one of our best and i
envy you lucky folks for the first time you hear it. It's cousins include
Jean Genie and Blockbuster (which are essentially the same song) and it's
fucking fantastic. So what's it about, i hear you ask quizzically? Students,
i reply almost instantaneously. I loved being a student, you don't have
to do fuck all and you still come out of it with the best days of your
life and more debt than a homeowner. It's the bounciest song we have and
it'll have you shitting your pants when you realise how great we are.
And just think you haven't even heard it yet. Quiver in fear. - Fil
